  1. Move (Original) by Tim Healey & Marc Adamo

The huge rave monster by The Shamen, Move Any Mountain has been remade by Tim Healey & Marc Adamo. Getting it ready for the 20th anniversary of The Shamen release. Originally it was called Progen but later when they got signed to Sony Records they renamed the song and repackaged the single with countless remixes and an awesome first album En-Tact which was also remixed for the USA.

Here Tim Healey & Marc Adamo have taken that huge rave dance hit and made an update to it for today. This version is the original and it’s the one that has the most vocals and the one that makes it really feel like an actual cover. Whatever you want to call it a cover, sample, remake they are all possibilities and this is a nice update. I just love hearing new versions of old classics and this one really takes me back to when rave culture had exploded and dance and techno music was all over the place including being played on Live 105 here in SF! Those were the good old days! There are two other remixes with this release and the remix to note is the Dirtycloud Remix. Click the album cover below to hear the remixes from this release which I highly recommend.

  2. Trentemoller Remixes Moby’s Classic Go

I’m a big fan of Trentemoller and have always been a fan of Moby’s techno classic from 1991 Go so I seriously had to check this remix out when I first heard of it. It’s pretty darn cool. Much less dreamy and more electro rocking frenetic beats but the if you listen the dreamy part surely comes.

Check out both the classic Woodtick Mix with the awesome sample of Laura’s Theme from Twin Peaks and the Trentemoller remix. You like? The remix is from Moby Go The Very Best Of Moby Remixed and it’s definitely worth owning if you are at all a fan of remixes. You must be though if you’re reading right? From 2006.

  3. Fade To Grey by Fierce Ruling Diva

This Visage remake/remix of Fade To Grey came out way back in 1994 and it still sounds pretty good. It’s a pretty good remake of the new romantics new wave classic written by Midge Ure and Steve Strange.

Check out the album Revolt Of The Perverse as it contains a really kicking track called Pissing In The Wind. And who can forget I Need Drugs! Those were the good old days of techno and rave music! The fun days. If you can find this album do buy it as it’s worth it just for Fade To Gray and you get two bonus cuts!
