Intro by Alan Braxe And Fred Falke is a fun, groovy and festive dance track. It samples the track Crush On You by The Jets. But there’s also mention that Crush On You by The Jets was originally sampled by The Wee Papa Girls in a track called Get In The Groove and that is the sample that Alan Braxe And Fred Falke have used for this track but who knows. You be the judge.

Toop Toop (Martin Eyerer Remix) by Cassius

Here’s a great awesome remix of a pretty darn good song by Cassius. Cassius has been around since the mid 90s but only released just a small handful of albums. This one came out of nowhere and got me really good. I dig it quite alot and it’s been on my iPod since late 2006.

It’s definitely a great song to dance to and I can just hear it in the clubs but it’ best while you are driving the streets of the big city.

What do you think of the two different versions? The original definitely utilizes the guitars but the remix is quite hot right? It’s so hot that Madonna used it as a remix to Get Into The Groove. It was a fresh change to the awesome Get Into The Groove. There’s a download link here to the Madonna version.

Ces Bottes Sont Faites Pour Marcher by Eileen

Here’s a fun French version of Nancy Sinatra’s go- go classic. I love this as I can hardly sing it and I can sing the original for sure in English but the fact that I can’t sing this makes it all that more unique.

This series Femmes De Paris is a great collection of young French pop divas from the 60s singing original and cover songs from British and American hits. I love the collection and it’s definitely worth owning for anyone interested in this type of music. They are sure fun and will get folks talking and chatting at a party.

$Thank God It\'s Friday Soundtrack$

Thank God It’s Friday is the forgettable film about the disco nightlife club world. It has a pretty good soundtrack of music by such artists as Thelma Houston, Diana Ross, Commodores, Cameo, Santa Esmeralda and of course several tracks by Ms. Donna Summer. The big hit on the soundtrack is of course Last Dance. There’s two versions the regular and of course the reprise version just before the last track on the soundtrack – Je T’aime…Moi Non Plus. This of course is the classic 60s French track by Serge Gainsbourg and featuring the great voice of his wife Jane Birkin.

Unfortunately the Donna Summer version which clocks in at 15 minutes and 36 seconds (pretty long for a track) doesn’t do anything for me. I love Donna Summers music especially the song I Feel Love – a true classic electronic disco masterpiece produced by the king himself Giorgio Moroder but unfortunately this remake just sucks! It sucks just like the film it’s from and it’s unfortunately really, really long so I just skip it. Well I don’t really listen to it.
