I love it when musicians take a song that’s so well known from an era with such a specific genre and put a new spin on it. This is the fact with Dalminjo Featuring Anja Oyen Vister covering The Smiths classic There Is A Light That Never Goes Out. Dalminjo is known for jazzy housed up club and electronic music and he’s remade this very well known Smiths track and made it housed up clubby but nothing too obnoxious with the beats sort of laidback but you know midtempo. This is the remixed version below as the original version is pretty mellow minimal. Check it out here with the original Smiths version. I like it and I do like it that he’s used Anja Oyen Vister to record the vocals so hearing this with female vocals is a pretty cool thing. What do you think?
