  1. Free (Teo Moss & Daniel Shems Remix) by Ultra Nate

     Powered by Max Banner Ads

I’ve always loved Ultra Nate as she is a true dance/house music artist that didn’t reach the level of some other similar artists like Crystal Waters or CeCe Peniston but she certainly knows what’s good and she’ll go after it. She was signed to Warner Brothers in the earlier part of the 90s then let go then signed to Strictly Rhythm and it’s at Strictly Rhythm where she achieved most of the her huge success with the very popular Free from her Situation: Critical album.

Free was HUGE in 97 and there were countless remixes of that huge song but the version that caught on was the Mood II Swing remix. Although Full Intentions was also right up there but there was something about the Mood II Swing version that was just a notch better.

Well good news there are new remixes for Free by Ultra Nate that were released late last year that are worth writing about. For anyone into Free or Ultra Nate or dance/pop music then you will certainly enjoy this excellent remix by Teo Moss & Daniel Shems. As always I”m a big sucker for new remixes of old songs and this Teo Moss & Daniel Shems Remix is quite nice in the package of 2010 remixes for Free by Ultra Nate. There’s also a new remix by Bob Sinclar in the package of new 2010 remixes of Free by Ultra Nate. Check them out below. 2. Baby I’m Yours (Siriusmo Remix) by Breakbot

     Powered by Max Banner Ads

I have had Baby I’m Yours single in my iTunes now for some time and I can’t seem to get into it much. Especially the remixes of it. Remixes are by LaFunkMob and Siriusmo as well as instrumental versions of each plus an awesome additional track called Make You Mine which I think is the strongest track on this release. Make You Mine has a very funky, dowtempo Daft Punk like feel to it. Links to all all versions below to preview and download. I discovered Breakbot after he did a remix of Happy Up Here for Royksopp and have been digging his sound since then so I love Happy Up Here (Breakbot Remix) by Royksopp, Roche (Breakbot Remix) by Sebastien TellierIn My Spaceship (Breakbot Remix) by Jan Turkenburg, I Think I Like U 2 (Breakbot Remix) by Jamaica and Lion (Breakbot Remix) by ZZZ remixes he’s done and there are tons more remixes than this just ok release by Breakbot. The original Baby I’m Yours is still stronger than the remixes and hands down Make You Mine is the best of the tracks on Baby I’m Yours single by Breakbot. Check them all out below.

  3. Sweet Dreams (Avicii Swede Dreams Mix) by Avicii Covers Eurythmics

     Powered by Max Banner Ads

I love my remakes and this one is a really nice one by Avicii covering the Eurythmics classic 80s song Sweet Dreams! It’s definitely a bouncy, upbeat housed up club version of the Eurythmics synth pop classic. I love how the robotic vocodered vocals come in and with the big beats it’s really nice and grooving. I’ve heard many remakes and remixes in the past of the Eurythmics Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) but I have to say this version by Avicii is the best one I’ve heard so far.

If you like Sweet Dreams by Avicii then you should check out more by Avicii. His sound is totally now and perfect club music. Avicii is from Sweden and he’s remixed loads of acts like Dizzee Rascal, Robyn, Tim Berg, Daft Punk, Bob Sinclar and many more. Check his other remixes as I’m sure you will dig!

Check out a lounge version of Sweet Dreams by Senor Coconut here. Even electro godless Miss Kittin has covered Sweet Dreams! Emily Browning even sang a version for the SuckerPunch soundtrack that just came out a couple of months ago. It’s cool! It’s more dreamy, operatic and cinematic you know perfect for a movie!

  4. Star 69 (Thomas Gold Remix) by Fatboy Slim

     Powered by Max Banner Ads

New remixes of old dance and electronic tracks are my cup of tea! And when I heard about this new remix of Star 69 by Fatboy Slim I was first in line to check it out and I have to say it’s pretty darn good. Love the long breakdowns and big ass beats withe the lyrics that we have come to love from the original Star 69 track! What The Fuck! This new remix came out last year for the 10th anniversary of the original release of Star 69 and was originally on the Fatboy Slim album Halfway Between The Gutter And The Stars. Timo Maas had had remixed Star 69 in 2000 as part of the single along with DJ Gotfather and X-Press 2 and I think this new Thomas Gold Remix is just as good if not better. The Timo Maas remix still hold up today and is worth checking out. This new remix is certainly in the style of what’s being played in the clubs today and it’s a fusion of house and electro beats. I

I’m sure this one of those cuts that is definitely one that is definitely on heavy rotation. More updated Fatboy Slim remixes please?

  5. North Shore (Idjut Boys Mix) by Cantoma

     Powered by Max Banner Ads

If you are at all into beautiful, sexy downtempo and chill out music then Cantoma is your cup of tea. I first got into Cantoma‘s music when I heard his track Moonsmith off of the Cantoma self titled album way back 6 or so years ago and immediately fell in love. I’m sure if at all you like Thievery Corporation then you will certainly like Cantoma’s music. Finally Out Of Town came out last year and it was basically more of the sexy downtempo music with a elements of world beats thrown in for good taste that I had come to know from Cantoma. It’s just good music that you can put on and chill to in the background. Read a book, sip a glass of wine? Tasty!

North Shore is one of the cooler cuts off of Out Of Town and I was happy to have discovered this Idjut Boys remix of it. The Idjut Boys elevate the song by increasing the BPMs a bit and giving it a somewhat discoish vibe to it that I’m digging! The vocals are still there but it’s been given also the dreaminess quality has been elevated a bit. It’s nice and I hope you enjoy it!

  6. Way Back Home (Club Version Featuring Duane Harden) by Bag Raiders

     Powered by Max Banner Ads

I first heard the Bag Raiders Way Back Home track just a couple of weeks ago but it wasn’t the original version sung by the band members that I heard it was the club version with Duane Harden. I immediately fell in love with it and had to check out more versions. I had known about Bag Raiders but after I heard Way Back Home I came to love Bag Raiders more. The original version of Way Back Home is very reminiscent of gothic sounding synth pop from the 80s it totally reminds of a song from that era. The Duane Harden version is upbeat, bouncy and reminds of piano house from the mid 90s! It’s awesome!

Those of you that don’t know Duane Harden well if you know this little song that dates back to 1998 called U Don’t Know Me by Armand Van Helden featuring Duane Harden then you’ll know Duane Harden. He’s done countless other songs since then, mostly house, deep house and soulful house but this collaboration with Bag Raiders is one of the most unique things he’s done to date in my opinion. I love it!

And the track listing for the Bag Raiders self titled album is as follows. Loads of tasty new wavy synth pop and dance treats that are seriouisly worth owning if you are at all into bands like Empire Of The Sun or Cut Copy and the like then you will certainly love these songs. Preview each track below and make sure you check out Shooting Stars as it’s one of my faves next to Way Back Home! There are some really cool remixes of Shooting Stars that should be noted as well.

    1. “Castles in the Air”
    2. “Sunlight”
    3. “Shooting Stars”
    4. “So Demanding”
    5. “Gone Away”
    6. “Prelude”
    7. “Not Over”
    8. “Snake Charmer”
    9. “Always”
    10. “Golden Wings”
    11. “Way Back Home”

  7. Wherever We Are (Grum Remix) by Human Life

     Powered by Max Banner Ads

I’ve been listening to a lot of 80s inspired or influenced electronic, pop, dance, synth influenced music lately and Human Life’s Wherever We Are are one of the acts that I’ve been listening to quite a bit. This feel good, happy song from the Los Angeles based act Human Life is just that and more especially if you check out all of the fun remixes of this hit song Wherever We Are. The band takes their influences heavily from catchy 80s music of the synth pop bands that were aplenty then. They then throw in stabs of early chicago house music and an added French electro inspired sound to create their own original sunshiney very LA feel to the music. I’m digging this and I can only wait to hear more from Human Life.

My favorite remix is the Grum remix which is below. Check it out and check out the other remixes as well as they certainly are worth it and the original is still darn good for more poppier feel and sound. If you can also get your hands on Italo Crimewave you should!

  8. Don’t Turn The Lights On (Aeroplane Remix) by Chromeo

     Powered by Max Banner Ads

Chromeo keep pushing the 80s inspired grooves with their single Don’t Turn The Light’s On off of their latest album Business Casual a truly fun 80s style album with touches of disco, funk and synth grooves. It’s a fun album and keeps pushing them forward now with their third great album. Well my favorite remix of Don’t Turn The Lights On is one by Aeroplane where the beats are a little more spacey, nu disco inspired similar to all of Aeroplane’s music. It’s still keeps the pace of the original version as this remix is not the remix to get your club groove on with. It’s got a more dreamy spacey laidback feel to it. I dig this nu disco sound and I’m sure you will too!

If you haven’t heard of this great remix you should check it out below. You should also check out more music by Chromeo and Aerooplane here on DestroyRockAndRoll.com!

  9. Happy Together (Wade Nichols aka Todd Terje Edit) by The Turtles

     Powered by Max Banner Ads

Happy Together by The Turtles is one of my favorite 60s songs. I think it’s one of those rare songs that still sounds quite original on it’s own. I was looking forward to this reedit of the original Happy Together by Wade Nichols aka Todd Terje. Once I heard it I knew it was pretty much the same in sound but it does have a bouncier beat to it making it a perfect example of an early 70s disco treatment of a 60s song.

  10. Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP Sample Renato Carosone With We No Speak Americano

     Powered by Max Banner Ads

Taking old recordings and sampling and remixing them is what http://www.DestroyRockAndRoll.com is all about and Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP’s remake/remix and sampling job of the classic Renato Carosone track Tu Vuo Fa L’americano for We No Speak Americano is a fine example of that. Yolanda Be Cool are the Australian act that have sampled this classic Italian easy listening/jazz into a upbeat electro-swing/swing-house hit. It’s fun, playful and very lively. This remake definitely keeps in the tradition of electro swing hits making big waves across the globe except here in the states. What’s going on?

A couple of years ago I heard this awesome compilations called Swing Style and Renato Carosone’s track Tu Vuo Fa L’americano was featured on it including other older swinging jazz cuts as well as the new wave of electro-swing artists like Waldeck, Parov Stelar and more making hit underground dance tracks. Was really nice and was also very nice to get this amazing remake by Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP doing We No Speak Americano. 11. I Wander (Christopher Just Remix) by Louie Austen

     Powered by Max Banner Ads

Take Frank Sinatra and add dance electronic dance beats and that’s what you get when you listen to Louie Austen. It’s the most interesting combo around ever. If you are still waiting for the Warner Brothers group to remix Frank Sinatra’s greatest hits then wait no longer you can get all original music from the smoother than ever Louie Austen. Louie Austen’s music reminds you of any of those oldy crooners from time forgotten with a new dance beat. Louie Austen’s music is all original song produced by the best German electronic and dance producers and remixers.

I first heard of Louie Austen after listening to a Hotel Costes CD. I think it was Hotel Costes 5 and the song was One Night In Rio. I was totally hooked to his sound. One Night In Rio is more lounge with dance beats but I was really looking for more music. Later discovered more and more including songs with Peaches and other tasty goodies and finally I was hooked. Since then I’ve picked up whatever new material Louie Austen has released.

His latest offering is Last Man Crooning/ Electrotaining You, the double album which is basically the album Last Man Crooning and Electrotaining You is the companion remix CD. A very nice collection because the remixes are all top notch here including this awesome remix of I Wander by Christopher Just. Of course the original I Wander is the mellower poppier version and the Christopher Just Remix is the more lively, quirky electronic almost festive version here. It’s very groovy and knowing it’s remixed by Christopher Just I would expect nothing else. Other remixers on Electrotaining You are Acid Washed, Rodion, Phonique and more.

  12. Sunglasses At Night (Alter Ego Remix) by Tiga & Zyntherius

     Powered by Max Banner Ads

Corey Hart’s Sunglasses At Night is the perfect pop song to be featured in shows like Miami Vice or games like the GTA – Vice City. It’s the perfect synth pop song bordering on cheesyness with a very pastel Miami or LA coolness to it. It’s classic! Well it was perfectly reproduced or remade here by Tiga & Zyntherius. First released in 2002 then remixed and rereleased last year with tons of great new versions or remixes of the Tiga & Zyntherius version of the Corey Hart classic 80s song Sunglasses At Night.

Tiga put himself on the map with the first release of Sunglasses At Night back in 2002. He was part of that electroclash movement and still continues to produce nice electro/dance music that I still listen to and occasionally remixing someone like Cabaret Voltaire or Miike Snow. The second half, Zyntherius is actually Jori Hulkkonen who’s music I also love too. So this combo of the two of them made for a nice collab and release of the Corey Hart classic synth pop track back in 2002. It was so good I suppose it deserved an extra round of remixes 8 years later. The first release included one great remix Naughty’s 42 Da Floor Remix which was nice and of course the original is great.

Last year the remixes were by Alter Ego, DIM, Black Devil Disco Club, Popof and Konrad Black. A great package with pretty nice lengthy remixes of the Tiga & Zyntherius version of Sunglasses At Night. Below is the entire list and worth checking out as there are some really nice remixes from really cool acts. Check them out below!

  13. Beachball (Chris Lake Remix) by Nalin & Kane

     Powered by Max Banner Ads

Beachball by Nalin & Kane was such a huge trance hit in the mid to late 90s! Especially when it was remixed and repackaged with DJ Icey remixes in 1999. That track blew up everywhere. It was the kind of euphoric trance track that you can take ex on and dance all night to. It was one of my favorites back then as I overplayed it along with 9PM (Til I Come) by ATB and many many others. Trance was big, so big back then and there were some amazing trance releases that I enjoyed. The days of trance faded away in the early 2000′s though and along with that went this great track Beachball by Nalin & Kane. But wait there are new remixes now! This Chris Lake remix takes me back to those party days of the late 90s and relives those times with an excellent update. This thing is quite good as it moves you along to a nice updated big electro beat. I actually really like the Chris Lake style and sound and was happy to have come across this remix of Beachball by Chris Lake. Check out both the original classic and the new Chris Lake remix below. 14. Jam Hot (Tensnake Remix) by Johnny Dynell

     Powered by Max Banner Ads

Jam Hot by Johnny Dynell and New York 88 is most famously known as the sample for the Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim produced Beats International track Dub Be Good To Me. The famous line “tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty you’re listening to the boy from the big bad city, this is Jam Hot, this is Jam Hot” is lifted right off the Jam Hot single by Johnny Dynell and New York 88. I should do a post on that at a later time. Jam Hot originally came out in 1983 almost 30 years old now and it has a very New York, new wave dance sound to it. Later in the early 90s it was rereleased and remixed. But I first heard of this excellent track by  listening to a compilation called Future Disco Vol. 3 – City Heat. This version on Future Disco Vol. 3 was the most recent remix by Tensnake who I absolutely love the sound of. I was like boy this is a darn great remix which actually takes me back to the beginnings of the deep house days. I had to research and find out more about Jam Hot by Johnny Dynell. Well I found a whole history for this excellent track. The remix is off of the Big Breakdown/Jam Hot Remixes package which was released last year. It’s an excellent ep of great new remixes of Jam Hot and Big Breakdown from todays and yesterdays remixers. The remixers include Tensnake of course, Peter Rauhofer, Mark Kamins, 40 Thieves, Illija Rudman and Clouded Vision which makes up for a very worthy collection that you should check out! 15. I Like to Move it (Klaas Remix) by Reel 2 Real Featuring The Mad Stuntman

     Powered by Max Banner Ads

I Like To Move It by Reel 2 Real featuring The Mad Stuntman was such a huge hit back 1994 for Strictly Rhythm Records. The remix by Erick Morillo and Harry ‘Choo Choo’ Romero was the version the clubs played over and over again and was on countless mix CDs that were released around that time. The song was huge and unfortunately it wasn’t really one of my favorite tracks because I did not really like the Mad Stuntman’s repeated hollering of I Like To Move It… it became too much. Well the new remix is basically the same, same Mad Stuntman hollering and with a new electro style big beat! It’s fun if you’re into this song and want to hear a little change to it. In fact there are many remixes of this track released as part of a big remix package. In fact the Nicola Fasano Mix is probably the best of the lot. Certainly worth checking that one out. Same song just a new beat but a good fun beat! The 2010 Remixes also contains remixes by Sidney Samson and Bart B More as well as the original radio edit and the Harry  ‘Choo Choo’ Romero vs Erick Morillo Remix that put this track on the map! Certainly not one of my favorite tracks but worth writing about for all you to check out if you are a fan of this monster club cut!

  16. General Motors, Detroit, America (Blackstrobe Remix) by Acid Washed

     Powered by Max Banner Ads

I first heard General Motors, Detroit, America early last year and I fell in love with it. It kind of sounds like the soundtrack music to either an 80s Sci-Fi film or maybe even a mysterious documentary from that era. It’s cool. It’s perfect synth electronic with very 80s touches thrown in there. It truly has a very soundtrack feel to it. I can see it perfectly in Tron or something like that.

Well I love the Blackstrobe remix even more. The original is more mellow sort of a downtempo thing but Blackstrobe have made it more clubby and bouncy but still keeping the mysteriousness. This release is off of the Acid Washed (love their name btw) album by the same name. If you are at all into synthy 80s inspired electro and electronic music then this album will satisfy you completely. I love it! It’s mostly all instrumental cuts and very bouncy fun music. The release is from Record Makers one of my favorite labels out of France! Home to folks like Sebastien Tellier, Kavinsky and more.

  17. Stay Down (Julian Jeweil Remix) by Moby

I absolutely love it when a remix moves me and that’s just what this Julian Jeweil remix of Moby’s Stay Down did to me. It’s one of the best remixes I have heard of in quite some time. It’s quite amazing in fact and deserves to be written about. Until I heard this remix of Stay Down I had not heard of Julian Jeweil before. Who is he? Don’t know much about him but I like what I hear so far.

This remix of Stay Down is off of the Wait For Me remixes double album by Moby released last year. It’s quite the greatest remixes package and anyone into remixes should own this great lot of remixes. It rocks. There are remixes by Carl Cox, Paul Kalkbrenner, Yuksek, Gui Borrato, Laurent Wolf, Popof, Laidback Luke, Tiesto and whole bunch more. It’s certainly a killer package and this remix by Julian Jeweil is as good as the rest of the remixes. Check them out!

I like all things 80s sounding and all things Kitsune! This Gamble & Burke song Let’s Go Together remixed by Grum is all that and more! This has been out since summer last year and I’ve been enjoying the soulful robotic vocals, the 80s synth pop dance beats very much but it’s the remix by Grum that I’m really digging here. The original is a bit more minimal (not too much depth in the music) compared to the Grum remix with the fatter beats. Grum again does the great remix job here and I have to say the more I hear Grum the more I love his sound. The Scottish musician not only produces his own awesome music with a full album release but does some excellent remixes of other musicians.

Gamble from Gamble & Burke was previously one half of the fun pop dance act The Cooler Kids. They had a minor hit called All Around The World back in 2003 but this is his new gig. I hope to hear more releases from Gamble & Burke in the near future and since this is going on one year I think maybe more is going to come from the duo? I hope!

  19. Clouds Across The Moon (Martin Eyerer And Jade Suaid Eclectic Remix) by The Rah Band

I remember Clouds Across The Moon by The Rah Band in the mid 80s. I remember in not too good of a way. It was one of those cheesy synth pop tracks that you loved to hate. The video was even worse. OMG! It’s one of the cheesiest videos ever made I think! When I grew older I had completely forgotten about the existence of this track and The Rah Band. Well it’s back and in a good way. There are several updated remixes of The Rah Band’s Clouds Across The Moon in two remix single packages that came out late last year through The Great Stuff label out of Germany and I have to say the remixes are darn good and worth hearing. If you are a fan of Clouds Across The Moon or not should definitely check the remixes out.

My favorite remix is the Jay Lumen Lost The Connection Remix but most of the vocals are completely removed and it’s basically upbeat house club beats with some vocal stabs thrown in here and there. Very tribal and very groovy. The other remix that I like is the Martin Eyerer and Jade Suaid Eclectic Remix. This remix keeps the vocals in and is very similar to the original but much more updated and current.

The Rah Band were a husband and wife from team from England that produced several albums in the late 70s and 80s and Clouds Across The Moon was their biggest hit off of their album Mystery!

  20. Permanent Vacation (Selected Label Works No 2)

Permanent Vacation (Selected Label Works No 2) is one of the coolest compilations to end up in my iTunes music library ever! I can’t stop listening to this awesome nu disco, deep house, electronic music compilation as every single track is top notch. So it’s on heavy rotation now for 4 or so months. Loads of great acts are included on this compilation including several remixes of Beam Me Up by Midnight Magic, several cuts from Tensnake, Azari & III, Sally Shapiro remixed by Bottin, Lexx, Pollyester, Woofy vs Projectsions and the track track that I keep coming back to Prism by Spectacle with a link below. Prism by Spectacle is one of those moody, very deep deep house (with a slight nu disco touch) tracks that you get addicted to and keep clicking to repeat. In other words it’s quite sexy!

Check it out at the link below and check out the rest of the Permanent Vacation (Selected Label Works No 2) tracks here. You wont be disappointed by them! Produced by Muallem which some of you might have heard of but if you haven’t check out Shanti Dance (Featuring The Droids) by Muallem. Very funky, groovy electro disco. Love that cut!

  21. Without Lies (Black Van Remix) by Aeroplane

When I eat cake I prefer the cherry sings Sky Ferreira as guest vocalist on Aeroplane’s hit song Without Lies from the excellent album We Can’t Fly. I first heard We Can’t Fly the single and was immediately hooked to their Nu Disco sound and style. Without Lies in it’s original form is pretty minimal which is great on it’s own but the remix by Black Van takes the original and beefs it up with more upbeat disco style but still feeling relaxed as it’s not the type of song you would hear in a mega club. The Black Van remix has a very 80s disco sound and style which is totally cool for all you 80s revivalists.

The album We Can’t Fly also has a very space rock/disco sound to it – it’s totally inspired by the 80s well maybe a bit of late 70s thrown in. Check out the track Superstar and you’ll know what I’m talking about. I love it and if you have not heard of Aeroplane then you should and definitely check out their album We Can’t Fly and song of the same name as you will love.

Without Lies single also contains an excellent remix by Breakbot that’s also worth to note as it takes the song into a funky disco territory.

  22. Jungle Music by Walter Gibbons

Here’s a great collection of cool edits of underground disco classics by master DJ Walter Gibbons called Jungle Music. These tracks are basically extended mixes/edits of well known and lesser known disco acts that Walter Gibbons used to spin at the clubs he had residencies in. There are cool cuts by Gladys Knight, Bettye Lavette, Double Exposure, Stetsasonic, Salsoul Orchestra and many more. If you are at all into disco or extended versions of songs then this is your compilation. Jungle Music by Walter Gibbons is highly worth owning. One of my favorites is Set It Off (Walter Gibbons 12″ Mix) by Strafe. A classic disco track that I’ve known for quite sometime now and here it’s in a 12+ minute of cool, sexy midtempo disco glory. Lovin’ it very much. Check it out below and check out the rest of the tracks from Jungle Music by Walter Gibbons here.

  23. We’re Ready When You Are feat. Ebony Bones (DJ Mehdi Remix ) by The Krays

The Krays are 1. Yuksek, Brodinski (both from France) and Ebony Bones, an actress singer from the UK. What they have put it out here with We’re Ready When You Are is instant nu disco classic music. I especially love the DJ Mehdi Remix as I can’t stop listening to it. It’s one of those very groovy modern disco music with wild girl vocals screaming and yelling out “I’m Not Scared”, “We’re Ready When You Are”. Loads of fun and perfect for a party or driving down the street with your speakers blasting. I can only imagine what else this trio will come up with in the near future as I can’t wait for more music!

    Enjoy!

  24. Dirty South Featuring Rudy Sample Harry Nilsson With Phazing

I absolutely love it when they sample a classic song like Harry Nilsson’s Everybody’s Talkin’ from the 60s. Dirty South have sampled the classic song, added the vocals by Rudy and put a beat against all of it and made it into a perfect club dance stormer. It’s working all fine for me and I’m sure it works great for you too. Dirty South have done some cool remixes in the past and most notably a really cool remix of the classic synth pop song Just Can’t Get Enough by Depeche Mode which you can find here. So I certainly will be keeping an eye out for more Dirty South from Dirty South Australia!

    Enjoy!

  25. Wonderful Life (Arthur Baker Remix) by Hurts

     Powered by Max Banner Ads

I love a good Arthur Baker Remix and that’s just what this is. Wonderful Life by Hurts, the band that sounds like they stepped off of the 80s synth pop days is remixed by Arthur Baker here with a very electro 80s synth sound. It’s got a very freestyle, electro feel to it and it’s been on my iPhone for quite sometime now. It kind of reminds me of the Planet Rock or Looking For The Beat beats from those two songs.

The song is quite strong and it hints at bands like Depeche Mode and New Order but is truly original. If you like anything by the bands I mentioned above or anything electronic synth pop then you will love Hurts. Wonderful Life is off of the Hurts debut album Happiness which also contains the hits Better Than Love and Stay. Not available in The States currently, God only knows why but get the import CD Happiness here as it’s highly recommended by me!
